Last April 26th was held the 9th edition of the popular Rally of Museums. An initiative organized by Motorcycle Museum of Bassella born with the will to make known some of the unpublished corners of the lands of Lleida.
One hundred participants, divided into cars and motorcycles before 1990, completed a 120km journey back roads of the Alt Urgell and Solsonès. Spectacular landscapes of the Pre Catalan Pyrenees, through the towns of Ódena, Sant Llorenç de Morunys and Solsona.
The awarded oldest bike was a Zündapp from 1935, rided by Artur Bujaldón. The oldest car, a Peugeot 403 from 1955, owned by Antonio Pomes. As usual, Clasics Vehicles Club from Alt Urgell received special recognition for being the club with the most participants assisting at this event, a total of 10 vehicles.
The cultural stop was in Sant Llorenç de Morunys, where participants visited the cloister of the town. They also saw the Lord Valley Museum, with representative elements of the landscape, heritage and history of the town.
Although the rain was present at some points along the way, the Rally was completed without any problems and all vehicles finished the day without needing any kind of technical assistance from the organization.
