An initiative that is included in the Barcelona Smart Moto Challenge, a competition for university engineering and industrial design worldwide.
The Motorcycle Museum Mario Soler Private Foundation presents, along with the brand Rieju, the first edition of the Design Challenge, which is included in the Barcelona Smart Moto Challenge. This is a worldwide competition aimed at universities and colleges of design to develop an urban bike, designed to solve specific problems of mobility that are generated in large cities.
Starting from an existing mechanical base from the brand Rieju, the Mius model, students must submit creative proposals for bodytypes. Original but realistic, manufacturable, essentially functional and useful products, to serve future users in accordance with the intended use.
The chosen projects will be exhibited at the Barcelona Smart Moto Challenge frame, to be held at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from July 2015 2nd to 5th, coinciding with the 24 hours of motorcycling.
Registration is now open and a detailed database of the 3 categories (Smart Moto, Design and Technical) are available on www.smartmotochallenge.org
